Kanya Lyons, Mandala Maker

Kanya Lyons

Kanya was inspired to start the Anda Mandala project while teaching stop-motion techniques in the Austin Film Society's After School Film Program from 2007-2008. Kanya graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Radio/Television/Film in 1999. After nearly a decade of freelance video and film work she became the Public Information Specialist at the Austin Public Library where she promotes lifelong learning. In her spare time she makes stop-motion mandalas with the help of her daughter, Sachi. She is in the planning phase of her next project, Cellular Illumination.

Erin Beth Donnelly, Jane of all Trades

Erin Betherin beth donnelly has been on adventure after adventure since jumping on a greyhoud bus from newark to reno soon after graduating high school. she has been a loving nanny to many families, built things out of other things, painted on scraps, performed with fire, taken many pictures, and has traveled most the united states with her dog. right now she is probably somewhere riding her bike to read a book or take pictures.

Jonathan Sylvan, Composer

Jonathan graduated form the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory with an emphasis in Electronic Composition. Recent credits include Composition and Sound Design for the film Raven Study, a dance short which was awarded Outstanding Student Work at Dancing for the Camera: International Festival of Film and Video Dance at the American Dance Festival, held annually at Duke University's Nasher Museum. Jonathan also recently contributed Composition and Sound Design toJonathan Sylvan The Fiber of Being; a multi-discipline interactive art installation which was part of the 2008 Ears, Eyes, and Feet showcase, an annual performance which features collaborations between designers, video artists, choreographers and composers. Jonathan is interested in a synthesis of the natural and virtual worlds a place where communication technology and art intersect. Therefore Jonathan is interested in interactive multi-media presentations and installations which explore the relationships and boundaries between the organic and the synthesized, the human and their medium of evolution.
